My husband said the chisels he ordered last were very low quality and wasn’t worth the money or time it took to receive them.

This is a great set of chisels and priced for somebody who is just getting started and you can get in for cheap... The quality is good, they were very sharp when they arrived I made them even sharper . Half of the set is geared more toward Woodturning than it is chiseling but still a great bargain and comes in a nice roll up package .I have seen other reviews that say that these chisels are not sharp, they are very sharp. The Chisels I received were so new that the lacquer hadn't really hardened up and we're still a little sticky otherwise great set of chisels I would buy again and again and again at this price point...

Good value for the price.

This set is pretty good for beginner woodworkers! Getting 12 different chisels at this price point was really nice and the storage case could be handy for those who don't have anywhere else to store them. These chisels are 8" long with about half that length dedicated to the handle and half dedicated to the blade.The chisels were pre-oiled so there was no rust anywhere, however, the oil does cause them to stick in the storage case a little bit. This is a minor annoyance but not a deal-breaker, particularly since I won't be using the case going forward.Several of my chisels had loose bezels where the blade is connected to the handle. The rest could be pulled off with little effort. I "fixed" this with a couple drops of common white glue under the bezels. Worked like a charm.The handles have a ring around the far end which prevents them from splitting over time with repeated use. This ring is supposed to be snug, yet able to still turn freely (so don't glue it!) Notably, the wood of the handle on one of my chisels didn't match the set – it was quite a bit darker than the rest – but the blade appeared to be no different.The storage case is your basic "pleather" so don't expect it to last forever. There's also an annoying thread that you end up snagging when you put a chisel into its slot and I expect that thread will be severed in no time, further decreasing the lifespan of the case. There are eye-holes so the case can be hung or you could even roll it up.All in all, even with a couple minor issues, this set is a pretty good value and a great way to help someone get into woodworking. I would recommend this product and possibly buy it again.

So, I worked as a fabricator and machinist for over 20 years. I don't expect a $200 product for under $50. However, without the proper knowledge and experience in basic machining these edges would be impossible for the average consumer to repair. One chisel will need about half it's shank ground due to the edge being way off center. After measuring the angles and sides I'll either loose half the tool making it right or have to rework it from just below the half way point on the shank.Other edges such as those with an arch are thicker on one side than the other. This would give a very uneven cut. I'm willing to put a bit of work in them to make them right. I'm new to work working so just a cheap set will work. But a set so badly finished is unusable even for a novice woodworker.The bad thing is I don't want to return them only for Amazon to package up and send to someone else. As I said, unusable. To rework these tools will take a bit of skill and not end up destroying them. I reached out to the seller and hope to hear back.
