I used this to stabilize fabric for a quilting project. It worked perfectly! Simply ironed it on the fabric and it stayed put until I was ready to peel the paper off (some pieces are still ironed on because I let the project sit for awhile... Still holding up after a year). Now using the rest in the kitchen and am very happy with the quality.

I spent my childhood on a dairy farm years ago, but I've never owned butcher paper. I don't own a vacuum sealer machine. We've bought meats from the butcher with the paper around it, but I've never used it myself -- until now.When this latest pandemic hit 3 years ago, I knew from history that prices would go up and there may be supply shortages, so we bought a chest freezer and started stocking up. Coming from a big family, we've always bought "family size" meats and divided it into portions, but this time we needed to do that for just the two of us.We've always used zip bags for freezing, even long-term, often with plastic wrap and/or double-bagging. It never occurred to me to get butcher paper. Now that I have it, I'm glad I finally got it. The meats taste better with less (or no) freezer burn or ice crystals, and I've been wrapping vegetables and other food items in it too. I put it in the paper and then in a zip bag to keep it from getting soggy or torn or lost in the freezer pit.It's unfortunate that this isn't microwaveable, but that's not a deal-breaker for me. I'd be happier if it were, so I could more quickly defrost things while still in the wrapping.This roll is plentiful so I imagine it will last a while for us, and it helps that I can use it for paper emergencies when my grandkids come to visit and need something to color on! Overall this is a good buy for us. Four stars is only because of the microwave restriction. Take that as you will, if it matters to you or not.

No slick side of paper for freezer food wrapping. I bought a double roll. At best this is just craft paper. Returning.

Thinner than my usual freezer paper

We like to buy a lot of meats in bulk when we find excellent sales. And when we get them home, we package the meat up in smaller packages for storage. This freezer paper is ideal for protecting our investment from the dreaded freezer burn! And with a 1500-foot roll, we don't have to skimp and use the bare minimum amount of paper; we can use a more generous sized sheet and ensure ample, proper coverage of our food. Would definitely recommend this item.
