BIG IDEA DESIGN Ti Utility Knife

The media could not be loaded. Okay, this is my 2nd review of this knife.I just finished cutting up 20, or so, heavy weight and medium weight moving boxes. They had to be really sliced up due to my recycling can.So, all folding panels cut off and large side panels sliced in half. Lots of slicing. There was also lots of deploying the blade, one handed closing the blade, and a blade replacement due to staples.Impressions:- I definitely like the deployment and folding mechanism. It's very fast and secure. It locks open cleanly and positively and the lock feels very sturdy. No wiggle or flex and the lock bar is thick, not like a liner lock- the mechanism that holds the blade was sturdy and didn't do anything weird. I was worried about the spring tension retained blade. But there was no flexing, no blade popping out or releasing, it was solid. It also cut nice and straight. The blade wiggles a very little when installed. But the knife cuts nice strait cuts, no wandering. It also was a breeze to replace the blade. No issues. Very simple.I have lots of other knives like this and it is definitely my favorite. The layout is great. The way the flipper tab is recessed at the corner so the tab doesn't protrude makes it a very smooth carrying piece. It dissappears in your pocket.It seems overpriced at first, but after using it this week, I think it's a new permanent edc piece. It's a very nicely designed cutting tool. I will probably buy another one.

I use my knife often with my line of work and I've had many different brands of utility knives, but after using this knife for over 3 months I can easily say this is without a doubt the best one I've ever owned. Simple design with quality parts, great design, simple & secure blade replacement. I came here today to buy another one for my son, but they were out of stock. I'll wait before I buy a different brand again.

Really great feel to it, works great, looks amazing and is easy to use and very compactBut almost a year of having it and using it daily and I was cutting a box and it just snapped i don’t really know what was the cause I take care of it but really sad to see this happen to me especially because I paid a good amount for it for it to not even last a year 🙁

The unboxing experience was great, feels nice in the hand, and pretty much perfect except for one thing. Half the flipper tab was chipped off, and while it still works perfectly fine the flipper tab has a noticeable amount of material gone. I'd give it 5 stars but since this is a quality control problem on a place used every time I used a knife, I can't give it a 5.
