Q: Can I melt crayons in-between two pieces with an iron? Like regular wax paper?

It might work but the paper is very thin and will leak through when using wet paint so I would be concerned you might end up with crayon wax on your iron. I'd advise sticking to regular wax paper for a project like that.

Q: Is this as thick as the paper used at the delli counters in supermarkets use to wrap sliced meats, or is it thinner, as used in the bakery areas?

This is not as thick as deli paper from my experience. I use it for my bakery items but not in lieu of parchment paper. Parchment paper is thicker. I use this often for microwave and wrapping items up to maintain a temporary freshness. I also use it to keep my candies that I make fresh in the refrigerator. I hope this helps.

Q: Is this paper appropriate for wrapping sliced cold cuts?

You can use it in between cold cuts. I tried using it between sausage patties and it probably would've worked, if I had made the patties and then put them on the paper, but I smashed them on the paper and then froze them. Now I have to make sure that the sausage patties are thawed to get the paper off.

Q: Is it grease resistant?

I use both olive oil and coconut oil in all of my baking as well as all of my chocolate items are packed in my dry waxed paper. It stands up well to what I use it for. That being said if I poured my oils of any sort straight on the deli wax paper I can not say for what length of time it might resist oil. I can not do with out mine I love them in all of my uses.
