Fish line Counter
This causes very low amount of drag. Counter is accurate to about 1/2 inch, which is good. I recommend this for trolling and to baseline your casting set up.

Works great and worth the money
works perfectly and well worth the money, great for both knowing how much line youre putting on a reel as well as how much line you're putting out in the water. I use it when backtrolling plugs for steelhead

Accurate
I purchased this to speed up my process of marking spectra/braided line every 100 feet for fishing for big tuna. I put this device on one rod/reel with no line and wound the braid onto the empty reel, marking the line with a magic marker and nail knot. It works great. The magic marker gives a visual cue and the nail knot gives a tactile one when fishing in darker conditions. (A tactic that works great as well...captain calls out the depth where fish are and quickly drop the lure to that depth.)I previously had one reel's line marked with magic marker only where I measured out 100 feet increments on a field. I checked accuracy of this device on the known line markings and it was dead on. This device saved me quite a bit of time to mark about 8 reels (doing it for a friend as well.)Why the one star deduction? This line counter, I think, is intended for use during actual fishing. It may work with much smaller fish, but there is no way it could withstand much fishing / catching of a 150-200 lb fish. It would bust the thing up.

Awesome Device
This thing is simple and great. Use it for offshore trolling. Colored line is great but it takes a couple seconds to attach this to the rod and get an exact line count. Takes a few seconds to remove and put on the next rod. Easy.

Accurate!
Works real well! Very accurate. It also helps keep your line straight and in line with the face of your reel so it lays more evenly across the spool better.

May work on bigger rods.
Works okay sometimes, doesn't fit and stay on my rods very well.

Finally!
This counter is awesome.

Good
Works as intended, just can’t reel too fast or it will slip of the roller.
