Very sharp blade

This is my second knife from Hammer Stahl. I purchased one of the santokou knives last year.Happy with my purchase I decided to order their paring knife.I absolutely love the paring knife, it has weight, super sharp, feels great in my hand.These are beautiful, well made knives at a reasonable price.

A friend was given this knife as a gift and I tried it. I have never forgotten how great it felt in my hand. After trying the top quality knives that are available at my local Crate and Barrel, I realized that this Hammer Stahl knife is the one for me. The handle has weight, so it gives me more control. The blade is thin and sharp. It's very sharp but not as scary and dangerous as other knives I have bought, which I have immediately cut myself with. And it's beautiful. I use it many times every day.

We got tired of buying knives that were made in China and they would not hold a sharp cutting edge. Problems went away when we purchased this knife. Excellent workmanship.

So far so good...a lot of reviews complained about rivets sticking out. Just a slight bump on mine.Seems like wood part pre-formed then added but plenty sharp and handsome look

If I was left on an island with one knife choice it would be a pairing knife. You could really do it all. Especially smaller hands and wrists it works out better for me. I use this one a lot. No issues.

My paring knife was over 40 years old, part of the Cutco set we received as a wedding gift. I expected to last forever. Forever came too soon, part of an accident involving the garbage disposal, a chisel, and a 15-year-old 'helper.' The rip broke off and I nearly cried. We are on social security which purs a replacement Cutco out of our range. The Hammer Stahl is not cheap but is moderately prices. I was surprised when it arrived , packaged so well. The biggest surprise was the way it felt in my hand. It could have been made for my hand OR for my husband's much larger hand. The real test came when I peeled a thin-skinned Macintosh apple. One beautiful thin curl from each of half a dozen apples. I love the new knife. Thank you, Hammer Stahl.
