Well made and works well
People not familiar with the odd way that Nooks have to charge would think that this cable doesn't work. Needless to say, if you force it in the wrong way, it ain't gonna work!If the Nook ***has no charge***, or is too low, follow these steps if the Nook doesn't turn on or charge;1) Plug it in to a proper wall charger. Not all USB wall chargers will work. Nook & Blackberry do work.2) The green light will turn on for less than 2 seconds and then turn to amber. LEAVE IT PLUGGED IN FOR 2 TO 4 HOURS.3) The Nook should turn on now, assuming that you have a good charger. REMEMBER: not all chargers will work with a nook.4) When the Nook turns on, LEAVE IT ON. The screen will turn off, but MOST Nooks need to be in the ON state to charge.

Cord fit my nook hd+
Works great with correct charger! Plugged cord in got green light then amber then off. I think nook needs 2amp 5.1volt charger. I tried a 250ma and my apple 1amp did not charge either (left on all night). Bought a 2.4amp rapid charger for $20 and it charged right up in a couple hours. Battery was completely dead. Read a lot about nook chargers and people having problems with them. I need a longer cord as this one is too short to use while charging. But gave 5 stars because it works and I did not have to order the $20 nook cord.

DO NOT BUY-VERY POOR COMPANY
I purchased, did not fit my item, was required to box item (it arrived in a bag) and attach return label...then I would receive less than $3.00 refund....do not buy ANYTHING from this company....there are several others that sell the EXACT SAME THING!!!!

my 2¢
Just received the product, so can't speak to longevity yet. It seems pretty well made, for the price. It fits more tightly than the original plug; I wasn't sure it would fit at first, but it is accomplishing the expected, and charging my Nook HD. My only complaint so far is that it is about two feet shorter than the original plug, and doesn't give me much room to move around. Mine is 37" end to end, plug included. Someone said 39" in the question section. Not that 2" would make much difference. I guess I should have read closer, but it is still a good deal for the price, and extension cords are cheap.

does the job, well built, good length
works perfect - charges the nook using the stock or an Anker charger. Does not charge is most 'regular' USB ports (this is a nook limitation, not the cable's fault). Stays firmly locked into the nook, minimal chance of yanking it out accidentally which is handy when using it while charging. now I have a cable for home and the car!

Satisfied customer
I was very hesitant to order this product after reading many many negative reviews about charging cables for the Nook HD. To my suprise, this cable worked great and the price was fair as well.

Better than the original cable.
I used the cable included with the Nook while on vacation, and it didn't work. The Nook finally went dead. I contacted B&N about it; they suggested taht the Nook was OK and the problem was elsewhere. I got this cable and it works. Better than the original. It gets my vote.
