I bought this dress to wear to Universal Studios, along with a Harry Potter Gryffindor sweater. I am 165 pounds, 5'2" and a 36DD and the XL fit perfectly. I added a wide, stretchy belt which I think finished off the outfit. I am also in my 60's and by no means skinny, and this dress is so flattering that I will be wearing it solo too, after things warm up a bit. It has some stretch, is not sheer and other than needing a tiny bit of touch up with an iron initially, is absolutely perfect! The sweater is Harry Potter's Womens Gryffindor house open front cardigan, XL, also purchased on Amazon, just in case there are other nerdy ladies out there who want to look amazing while they are out for dinner and drinks at Universal!

My daughter loves this dress and got many compliments at her middle school sweetheart dance. She looked like a12 year old in this dress because it is modestly cut and beautifully age-appropriate. Considering she will probably grow out of it soon and only wear it once it was a great price and delivered quickly. Because she wore it in the winter months, we found a great somewhat shimmery and fuzzy black cardigan at target and paired it with black low cut square heeled sandals. It also had a great return policy just in case we needed to send it back. We always do the Kohl’s returns and it couldn’t be easier. Thankfully, we didn’t need to return because this was “the one”! Highly recommend.

For what it cost, this is a wonderful dress. I got a “love that dress” from everyone that saw me. It definitely needs a petticoat, but I picked one up on Amazon for about $16. I wear a 14 but I have a large chest so I went with the 3X and it fit well. I think I was afraid to go with a big statement necklace for it but ended up going too small. I think it would’ve looked a lot better with a much larger necklace.

For reference, I am 5'8" 190# with 43" bust, 36.5" underbust, 38" waist, 43" floppy belly (measured about 1 inch below my belly button.I bought several dresses to try on as a possibility for a friend's formal birthday party. This dress looked so cute, it was a contender despite the more casual fabric. I would compare it to stretchy khaki material.I have it pictured with a tulle crinoline and my own belt in the first few pictures, then with the included sash and without the underskirt in the others. I am not wearing any shape wear. I imagine that addition would smooth out the back-fat rolls.If I had another event to wear it to, I would totally keep the dress.My only warning is that it will crease. It will definitely need ironing out of the bag. Idk how it will do coming out of the wash.

This is a fine dress for the price. The fabric reminds me a bit of a table cloth or low quality cotton curtains. This sent a fabric I’d normally want for a dress, but it’s possible in this style/cut so in a pinch or if on small budget it can work.Fit:Kind of weird. It’s cut TTS or even big in some spots but is also cut short waisted, so it’s like a TTS petite I guess?I’m 5’8” and usually where a 12/L, sometimes xl on top for chest. I sized up to an XL based on reviews. It actually fit my chest perfectly (I’m shocked) and the cut was wide enough across the chest so my bra wasn’t peaking out of the sides. I should note that I have a smaller than average back and shoulders and felt it slightly digging in my armpits (for reference, my chest circumference is 43” but my back measurement -bra size/under the boob measurement- is 34).The waist was big on me. I think would have preferred the fit of the waist in my more normal size L than the XL I ordered. BUT I did find it short waisted. I’m 5’8” with a long torso so this happens sometimes. Unfortunately, with this being a true fit and flair, having it be short waisted just looks dumpy and terrible.Overall- this is totally on par with a dress you’d get at a cheap fast fashion store in the mall. I’d say order your regular size if your body is average. If you are particularly petite or have a small chest i would suggest maybe ordering a size down. With how well the chest fit me, it makes me think it’s a pretty large cut up top. If you are broad- definitely size up 1 from your normal size and if you’re long torso this probably isn’t the dress for you.The fabric does much better with an iron with a steamer. It arrives unbelievably wrinkled- like this amount of wrinkles takes effort to get. It’s not really passable as formal bc of the fabric. Fine for a Holiday party but not for a wedding. You need a petit coat with this, it looks sad and cheap without it. I’d also recommend getting a quality grosgrain ribbon or use on of your own leather belts to replace the fabric belt that comes with it to make it look a little less cheap.

So, I was hoping to feel young and cute in this adorable dress, but it just exacerbated my saggy mom bust issue! The darts in this dress are sewn at a super perky height. I couldn't bring my droopy gals high enough to fill in the space provided, so it just looks silly. I'll have to return it. But if you are young with a bust that points to the sky, this will be great for you!

This dress is great, the only way it could be better is if it had pockets.I often layer it was a petticoat.
