Over time, I have learned the compromises involved when trying to find the balance between price and quality. This is by and far the best tripod/head combination I have purchased -- worth the additional money (w/GH03 Head). I am an amateur videographer, and have been seeking out a complete tripod w/head that would compliment steady pan and tilt movement. The cheaper basic tripods tend to jerk when moving left and right, and often require the operator to twist the handle in order to tilt up and down, or hold on to one of the legs to ensure the tripod does not tilt while moving the video camera.The smooth navigation (and great counter balance) of this tripod w/head is complimented by the sturdy tripod design. I can adjust the tension for all aspects of movement, and can literally use the tip of my finger to navigate the video camera. The extra long handle (and great design allowing the handle angle to be adjusted) is very comfortable to operate.The one downside is that length of the removable plate that my video camera attaches to prohibits a battery quick change. I have to slide the camera and plate off of the head, remove the mounting plate, and then replace the battery.I have read one negative review stating issues with "shaky head" and "not sturdy construction". I strongly disagree. Possibly that person did not know how to adjust tension using the easy-to-operate tension knobs. As for sturdy construction, of the 4 tripods that I own, this is definitely the sturdiest of all. The overall quality is very good.

Sturdy and easy to use. Works great with my camera rig, which probably exceeds 10 lbs. I liked it so much I bought a second one.

OMG I received this and it is just what I wanted. I needed a really sturdy tripod for video. I have a Canon 5d Mark IV with a 70-200mm on it. My GF had bought me a tripod from Best Buy I was always scared to walk away from it.

This is a very good tripod and fluid head combination. Easy to set up and adjust. Very smooth action for both pan and tilt. With the drag set properly, it holds where we stop the movement yet is free to move immediately when needed. We also got the tripod dolly which was easy to install, works well, and adds to the versatility.

During my second use, one of the legs stopped popping out. I could now use this to only for 4 ft.

First 2 minutes the retractible cord broke. Im very disappointed because it happened in front of my friends and client when i was showing them how it works. What a letdown.
